Hot Sausage Dip is the perfect easy appetizer for game days and get togethers. Expertly seasoned spicy sausage, a tangy blend of cream cheese and sour cream, shredded cheddar, and bright green onions all baked and bubbling just begging to be dipped into!
Crumble and cook the sausage in a medium oven-safe skillet or regular skillet if using a casserole dish.
Once browned, drain the excess grease then add the green onions, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, and Cajun seasoning and cook for 1 minute.
Stir in the cream cheese and sour cream until melted then turn the heat off and stir in 1 cup of cheddar until fully melted.
If using, spread the dip into an 8x8-inch casserole dish and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, if going directly from stovetop to oven simply sprinkle the cheese on top.
Bake for 20 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly then serve with crackers and garnish with sliced green onions if desired.
