I saw the suggestion for Cajun seasoning so used that instead. It was a hit with the fam and will be a regular in my meal rotation.

Delicious! I used Cajun seasoning and would only use 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon next time just to lessen the spice a bit. I would also double the meat as I have meat eaters in my family.

Made a couple interesting substitutions… I did not have any peppers on hand and thought instead to make a sweet and savory dish. I used chopped dried apricots in place of pepper and added paprika and a little bit of curry powder and OH MY it came out good. Thank you for an easy, delicious and versatile recipe!

I cut the cayenne down to adding only 1/4 teaspoon and only added half the pepper…and my daughter still said it was too spicy. I mixed in a little sour cream to her bowl and a few sprinkles of cheese and saved the day lol.

I miss the days I could actually eat all of that spice. I love spicy foods, but they don’t love me. I had to cut the cayenne pepper down to only 1/4 teaspoon lol. I bet the addition of jalapeños was delicious!

This was not only really good but it was also quick and easy. If you are sensitive to spice though, don’t add a teaspoon of cayenne like the recipe says. Unfortunately I can’t eat spicy foods like I used to and my daughter thinks everything is spicy, so I only added 1/4 teaspoon to cayenne and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. It was still “too spicy” for my daughter. To me, it had a nice heat, without my body hating me for it later lol. Either way, it’s a great recipe that you can make as mild or as spicy as you want. I’m glad I found another recipe I can add to my busy week night collection.

My husband loves this dish! He loves spicy foods so I cut up jalepenos also. One of our favorite! 😁

In reply to Cindy.

This was easy and delicious! I will however say that it was way too spicy for me!!! I will probably only put 1/4 to 1/2 a tsp. of Cayenne Pepper the next time I make it. Thank you for the recipe!
